Hubble Bubble By Christina Jones

"Hubble bubble, toil and trouble,

Decription

Mitzi is made redundant from a job she has done for many years. With her new found free time she decides to have a look around her village to see what it has to offer in the way off clubs and so forth and on finding that there is nothing, she decides to do something about it as well as do some life laundry. Mitzi begins by sorting out her atic and she finds her grandmothers cook book. It is full of interesting recipies with odd names like Mischief Night Cake and Powers of Persuasion Pudding. So deciding that they seem harmless Mitzi delves in to try a few after all it will give her something to do ! However the results prove far more interesting that a new found talent to cook, Granny's dishes are not only nurishing but have some very interesting side effects.

A romantic Novel

My Thoughts.

I picked this book with the help of  Melissas electronic bookshelf as I had no idea where to start with books I mean I love my Si fi and Fantsy books, I have been looking out for witch theamed books and to be honest its a little difficult as over here in the uk we are being overwhelemed by Vampire novels and dont get me wrong I Love the Sookie stackhouse novels I am not sure that I can include them as there are definate whitchy overtones in a few of the books there more with the Vampires. So back to the original question where do I start? well I have to thank Melissa for putting her Garden Spells - Sarah Addison Allen it linked me to this book as a suggestion. It cost me a penny plus postage from amazon its well used but I can see why. I couldnt put this book down, it makes a nice change from the often hard going books I have been reading recently it is the kind of book I will be reading on the beach. I will be reading this one again If you like magic and laughing and romance you will love this book! It is a bit of a girly girl book but I am a girl so its not a problem. I couldnt wait to see what the twist and turns happend produced of cource by the unpreditable results of the recipies this has a christmas ending much like many romantic novels but this one is funnier and more unexpected than anyother I have read before.

To read about the author Christina Jones

I would give this book 5 buttons see Melissa's reading challenge to see scoring :) also a contribution towards the Pagan reading challenge .
