Places where I like to go.
I have quite a few walks and tracks that I like to walk around where I live. I am quite lucky to live quite close to the countryside. I will write about the newest walk that me and my partner have found. I have to keep close to home as I am quite late on in my pregnancy now and cant fit through many of the turns, styes and other walkways that I wouldnt have otherwise thought about before. Climbing over stuff is really above my limits at the moment but I hope to take baby on these walks when it arrives.![]() |
Ducks are right on the path. |
I have left it to the last second almost because I wanted to take more photos but have been hampered by the weather. It was a bank holiday this weekend so of cource it had to rain didnt it and not just a little bit. Apparently its going to get worse too.
We have been on a close walk to a pond near our house, near the industrial est. It is an old clay pit apparently but now it is a lake with a little island in the middle and is a heaven for all sorts of water birds. We have taken my partners children to feed the ducks there. There is also coots, gease canadian gease and heron at the pond.Locals as well as heron fish there.
It is surrounded by a low meadow full of buttercups and I found a primrose. The Field is then surrounded by Trees, Silver Birch and Beech trees which Squirrels and gold finches and other small birds live in.

I like this place because it seems so insulated but it is in actuall fact surrounded by houses and small factories. It takes less that a few mins for us to walk from our flat in the village center on the main road to get here. Perfect for the kids to run around in too!
